TTB DRO Setup Fields


Accurate TTB DRO Reporting relies on correctly configuring fields across Warehouses, Brands, and Items.  These fields determine how your production is reported on and directly affect the way TTB DRO Reporting is calculated.   Each of these fields must be configured when creating any new Warehouse, Brand, or Item.  They can be found and edited directly on Warehouse, Brand, and Item records or by using the [[[TTB Setup Workbook.]]]

Warehouse Fields


1. Location: Which Proprietorship is this warehouse associated with?  Options: 

  • Specific to your operation

2. Tax Determined: Are items leaving this warehouse subject to excise taxes?  Options:  

  • Y
  • N

3. TTB Classification:  The TTB "Account."  Options:

  • Production
  • Storage
  • Processing
  • N/A

4. Bonded Warehouse: Designates whether or not the warehouses is bonded, by TTB definition.  Options:

  • Y
  • N

Brand Fields



1. TTB Proprietor:  Which DSP is this brand associated with?  Options:

  • Specific to your operation

2. TTB Brand Category:  What category do spirits associated with this brand report as on the TTB DRO? Options: 

  • Alcohol
  • Brandy
  • Gin
  • Rum
  • Vodka
  • Whisky
  • Other

3. TTB Brand Subcategory:  What subcategory do spirits associated with this brand report as on the TTB DRO?  Applicable only to certain Categories.  Options:

  • Bourbon: A Whisky subtype.
  • Corn: A Whisky subtype.
  • Grape: A Brandy subtype.
  • Light: A Whisky subtype.
  • Neutral: A Brandy subtype.
  • Rye: A Whisky subtype.
  • All Other
  • All Other Neutral

4. Distillation Proof Target:  The target proof of spirits associated with this brand at distillation.  Options:

  • free numerical field

5. Bottle Proof/Finished Good Proof Target:  The target proof of spirits associated with this brand at bottle proofing or as packaged spirits.  Options:

  • free numerical field

6. Bottled in Bond:  Are packed goods associated with this brand bottled in bond, as defined by the TTB? Options:

  • Y
  • N

Item Fields


1. Brand:  What Brand is this item associated with?  Used to attach Brand configuration to the item.  Oprtions:

  • Specific to your operation

2. Pack Type:  Used to determine volume calculations for this item across reports.  Options:

  • All available Orchestrated Pack Types

3. TTB Group/Account:  A designation determining where items populate on reports.  Options:

  • Blending Items
  • Bottled/Canned
  • Capture Losses
  • Denatured Spirits
  • Distillation
  • Fuel
  • Flavoring
  • Produced by Fermentation
  • Not Applicable
  • Corn
  • Rye
  • Malt
  • Wheat
  • Sorghum Grain
  • Barley
  • Product Line 7*
  • Product Line 8*
  • Grape
  • Product Line 10*
  • Product Line 11*
  • Product Line 12*
  • Product Line 13*

6. Spirits TTB DRO Report as Type: Used to determine the line the item will report on for Processing report, part IV.  Options: 

  • Alcohol and Neutral Spirits (other than Vodka)
  • Blended Straight Whiskey
  • Blended Whiskey with neutral spirits
  • Blended whiskey with light whiskey
  • Blended light whiskey
  • Blended straight whiskey
  • Any Other Blends of 100% Whiskey
  • Cordials - Liquers - Specialties
  • Domestic Whiskey at Over 160
  • Domestic Whiskey at 160 or under
  • Gin
  • Imported Whiskey (Canadian)
  • Imported Whiskey (Irish & Others)

7. Default Proof:  Proof that will be assigned by default during production in the event that the proof field is not edited to reflect a different proof.  Options:

8. Produce and Store As:  Used to determine the column items will report under on Production and Storage reports.  Related to but not necessarily the same as Brand Category or Sub Category.  Options: 

  • Whiskey <= 160
  • Whiskey > 160
  • Brandy <= 170
  • Brandy > 170
  • Rum
  • Gin
  • Vodka
  • Alcohol and Spirits > = 190
  • Alcohol and Spirits < 190
  • Other
  • Wine

9. Storage Report Covers:  Used to determine the Storage Report Version the item will appear on. Options: 

  • Domestic and All Wine
  • Puerto Rico
  • Virgin Islands
