When you first went live, your Bill of Materials (BOMs) were uploaded to your database. As time goes on, however, these BOMs will most likely need to be updated. This could mean the recipe itself has changed and a different raw material will be used from now on. Or it could be the result of an increase (or decrease) in efficiency at your location.
While these are obvious reasons to update BOMs, one less obvious reason many clients need to update their BOMs comes from data established from production variance reports.
