Managing Prices in Orchestrated (11/03/2016)

The following video will demonstrate how to manage your pricing structure from within Orchestrated Software:

Special Prices

Special prices are used when pricing discounts are confined to specific business partners. 

To open this function, go to Inventory > Price Lists > Special Prices > Special Prices for Business Partners

Step 1: Choose the business partner the special pricing is for. See image below.

Step 2: Add the item(s) that the discount applies to. You can manually enter the item(s) or you can use the Add Items button in the bottom right corner. 

Step 3: If this is a discount that applies across the board - you can add the Discount Percentage at the top of the screen. This will affect all of rows (items) that you populated below.

Step 4: If you are done, you can hit Add at the bottom of your screen. If you'd like to set up Period and Volume Discounts please see section below. 

 

Period & Volume Discounts

Period and volume discounts are used when special pricing is confined to a price list - either during a certain period of time or to a specific quantity of an item. 

To open this function, go to Inventory > Price Lists > Period and Volume Discounts

Step 1: Choose the Price List this discount is pertaining to.

Step 2: Add the item(s) that the discount applies to. You can manually enter the item(s) or you can you use the Add Items button in the bottom right corner. Do not hit Add yet.

Step 3: If you are wanting to setup Period Discounts, double click on the row number of the item you are wanting to do this for - from the Period and Volume Discounts window. See image below.

Step 4: Enter in the valid dates for the discount. 

Step 5: Enter in the discount percentage, using whole numbers. The Price after Discount will change once you put the discount percentage in. If done, hit Update

Step 6: If you are wanting to setup Volume Discounts, double click on the row number of the item you are wanting to do this for - from the Period Discounts window. See image below.

Step 7: Enter in the Quantity required for the item, in order for the discount to be applied.

Step 8: Enter in the discount percentage, using whole numbers. The Special Price will change once you put the discount percentage in. If done, hit Update

 Step 9: As with anything, make sure your work gets saved by click Update on each window worked on. Once you are back to the Period and Volume Discounts window, hit Add. Your discounts are in!

 

Mass Updating Open Purchase Orders & Sales Orders w/ Price Updates

After adding a new price list or editing an existing one, you may need to update Finished Goods or other items already attached to Sales (or Purchase) documents and Orchestrated has this type of updating functionality, from within the Price Lists feature.

Inventory module > Price Lists > Price Lists

You’ll notice the Update Documents button visible on both the main page of Price Lists but also at the Bottom of individual price lists, convenient if you just updated a few prices.

 

By clicking the Update Documents button from the main Price List window, you’ll open every document with an assigned price list, but if you double-click a specific list and click Update Documents then you’ll only see documents assigned that price list – potentially a less lengthy list to work through.

Per the screenshot below, either drill into the document via the Doc. No. column or if you’re ready to update documents then simply click the Far Left square of each row to be updated – holding Shift or CTRL to highlight multiple at a time.

Click Process in the Lower Left to update the selected documents, and after a moment a green ribbon will appear across the very Bottom of the screen confirming the number of updated documents.
