QC Analysis Tool

The following ~5 min video will train you on how to use the QC Analysis Tool within Orchestrated:

Summary

For a while our users have been requesting QC reports and each one was different. A few have been built out but we really wanted to embrace the uniqueness of each customer and give them something they could use as a starting point.

Important Notes

  1. Do create your own workbook if you wish to generate your own charts. We will be making periodic updates to this tool and you will lose any customizations.
  2. Follow the steps at the bottom of this page for how to create your own linked workbook (This information is also available in the "Helpful Hints" tab of the QC Analysis Tool)
  3. This is not advanced analytics, we are giving you all the raw data from Core QC only. These are simple table dumps to get you started to creating your own QC reports.
  4. This report is super easy to run, just launch it from Production → Production Reports → QC Analysis and click the Refresh button in the top-left corner of the toolbar.

How to create your own QC Reports based on the data in this tool:

To create a NEW Pivot Table or Pivot Chart in another workbook:

  1. Navigate to Insert>PivotTable in the Excel toolbar
  2. Activate the Table/Range selection by clicking in the box

  3. Switch back to the QC Analysis tool and select all of the data columns(Make sure to click on the column letter to select the whole column)

    Why This is important:
When you select the worksheet columns, the data source includes all the rows in the column, even if the column gets new rows added when you refresh. If you only select the "table columns" your data will not include the new rows added when you do a REFRESH. You would need to repeat the process to expand the selection to the new rows.

  4. Go back to your new workbook and click "OK"

To link an EXISTING Pivot Table or Pivot Chart:

  1. Select any cell on your Pivot Table to activate the PIVOTTABLE TOOLS ribbon menu and go to Analyze > Change Data Source > Change Data Source…
  2. Activate the Table/Range selection by clicking in the box
  3. Switch back to the QC Analysis tool and select all of the data columns(Make sure to click on the column letter to select the whole column)
  4. Go back to your custom workbook and click "OK"
